Tostada Hoy - Brian

15 April, 2007 (03:02) | Random, Spain

Before moving to Spain I was never much of a breakfast fan, typically I’d just grab coffee and maybe a scone with Shannon on our way to work.  Toasted bread would never have entered my mind as an option.  Think of a small baguette, cut in half the long way and toasted.    Then add as much olive oil as you can get to stay on the bread, or, real butter with jelly.  It sounds pretty simple, and frankly plain and boring.  To me, its perfection when you add a café con leche to it.  Try for yourself when you’re in the neighborhood!

It seems to me that for a well-traveled cosmopolitan type, you’re coming late to the toasted bread phenomenon! I agree, it’s awesome!

I have never posted a comment on a blog before in my life, but couldn’t resist. Keep bloggin, Brian, it’s a fun read! I hope you and Shannon are well and finding more simple pleasures like toast bread with jam!
